Together with professor Sören Holmberg I am responsible for the Quality of Government Institute at Göteborg University - please visit www.qog.pol.gu.se for more information.
The Quality of Government Institute at Göteborg University aims at conducting and promoting research on the causes, consequences and nature of "good governance" or Quality of Government (QoG) − that is, trustworthy, reliable, impartial, uncorrupted and competent government institutions.
We issue working papers, compile publicly available cross-national and time-series data, hold regular lunch seminars, and provide other data and literature resources useful for researchers, teachers, students, and practitioners interested in QoG.
On October 26 the Quality of Government Institute received a 36 million SEK (about 5 million USD) research grant from the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation. About 20 researchers and PhD students participate in the QoG Institute
