I am a research fellow at the Quality of Government Institute and the Department of Political Science at Goteborg University. I received my MA and PhD in Political Science PhD from Central European University.
My research interests are in the field of comparative politics, including issues of quality of government and development, comparative public bureaucracy, corruption, democratization and post-Soviet government and politics. For a list of publications see my CV.
I have supervised MA dissertations in Russia, the UK, USA and Sweden on a range of topics within my research and teaching expertise, including public administration reform in post-Soviet states, bureaucracy and development, democratization, center-periphery relations in Russia, Russia and the EU. I welcome applications for the supervision of MA students with interest in the areas of comparative politics, public administration, public management and public policy, post-Communist political development and state building.
